I have a 14x16 tent that can handle 4 people IF you put the cooking area outside. The inside space includes the wood stove, cots for all, and a little space to sit around and chill out at the end of the day.

During colder periods where we prefer to stay inside, we limit our cots to three, allowing room for a small cooking area across from the stove.

So, I'd say at least a 15x18 (Standard Davis Tent size).

I have always been told that if you think, lets say a 12 X 16 tents is big enough then look at the next size bigger.
If I were in the market for a tent I would give Davis Tents a call and they will be more than willing to answer any questions you may have and then some more interesting info that you may have not even thought about. They are a great company to deal with and lets face it they sponsor this forum. You can get their site by going here:

http://www.davistent.com/

You can find their phone number on their site, e-mail addy, physical address and any other info you may need to contact them. They will be more than willing to answer any questions you have .

I have a Davis Tent and have been a guest in other brands and have owned another brand and will say nothing compares to a Davis Tent. So many options they have to choose from.
