Colorado Big Game Maps

The following maps were created using publicly available data using freeware mapping programs. Please enjoy them, and let other people know where you got them.

The maps will get a bit blurry as you zoom in, but should be good enough to give you a rough idea of where to start looking for animals.

If you need more detailed information, we recommend you review our three part tutorial on free map resources. These include how to generate your own topographical/satellite photo maps, and how to use the CDOW NDIS mapping website.

We are also working on a new interactive mapping site for Colorado. While the data is similar to the CDOW NDIS map, we will offer additional features including color satellite photos, Sheep/Goat/Moose GMU Boundaries, and Landsat data. In addition it also allows users of GIS applications to attach to it and download this data. The new site is called GMUHuntingmaps.com. Please feel free to a look at our progress.
